Here at Fusionworks, we see the dance studio as a classroom for the larger lessons of life: self-knowledge, respect, discipline, humility and most of all, kindness and compassion. We hold our students to high expectations but pursue these expectations with warmth and playfulness.
Our goal for early education (ages 3 through 7) is to build a strong basic foundation before moving into more formal study. We give young students many opportunities for expression; we want to see them smiling, jumping, giggling and creating on their own!
As students progress, we help them maintain their joy of movement while also developing their technical skills. Formal study in modern and ballet (ages 8 through teen) encourage this development and allows students to explore multiple styles.
We believe that performance opportunities are an excellent way for students to grow in confidence, proficiency, and self-expression. As such, Fusionworks students participate in fully-produced yearly performances, with additional opportunities for teens to perform in competitions and showcases.
Our adult education philosophy welcomes everyone into the studio, regardless of age or physical ability. Classes are relaxed, and all levels are welcome!
In all classes, Dancing Legacy works to instill an understanding of dance as a dynamic and rich art form as well as a key piece of our collective cultural heritage.
